Well, i'm an anime artist and that's my dream to become a manga-ka!

Anyways, if your a beginner, you might want to study some of CLAMP's artwork, that's what i did and my artwork is so alike to theirs. If you don't know who CLAMP is, pick up some of they're manga series:
Chobits
xxxHolic
Tsubasa
Cardcaptor Sakura
Magic Knight Raeyearth
Some of they're early works are Magic Knight Rayearth, Chobits, and Cardcaptor Sakura. But when you look at Tsubasa and xxxHolic, they're style has changed dramaticly!

Basiclly just study off of other artist!

Also, do have the right materials for drawing? This is what i have:

Design drawing 3800 sketching pencil
Mechanical pencil erasers
Sketch paper
OpenCanvas 4.5
Fine point Sharpie marker
Pilot V Ball grip extra fine pen

I also recommend that using sketch pencils insead of drawing with a mechanical pencil. Why you ask? Cause the mechanical pencil's lead is very dark and will smudge very easily. With a sketching pencil, the lead is very light and can erase easily without smudgeing your artwork!

I really hope that my advice works out for you! Keep practicing EVERYDAY, and you will see that you will be improving little by little everyday. And there's no shortcuts to drawing better(took me like 2 years!)

Now some of the supplies I don't use anymore. My grandma gave me some better art supplies from her magical art room! Now I use manga pens and a smooth type of sketching pencil.
